Free Swim Lessons at Participating YMCAs
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn to swim. Thanks to funding provided by the New York State Department of Health through Governor Kathy Hochul’s NY SWIMS Initiative, participating YMCAs across New York State are offering free swim lessons to help more children gain lifesaving water safety skills.
This initiative is designed to expand access to swim lessons for children who may otherwise face barriers to participation. Each participating YMCA works with local families and community partners to reach children who can benefit most from this opportunity. Program availability, eligibility, and registration vary by YMCA.
